Senior SDET – Automation Engineer (Java, Selenium, API)

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our quality engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop scalable automation frameworks from scratch, lead end-to-end automation efforts, and work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment. Your expertise in Java, Selenium, TestNG, and API automation (Rest Assured) will be instrumental in delivering high-quality software products.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Design and build a robust test automation framework from scratch.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, TestNG, and other relevant tools.

• Automate tests for UI, web services, and APIs to validate functionality and performance.

• Perform API automation using Rest Assured for RESTful services.

• Execute database testing using JDBC across MySQL, Oracle, and other RDBMS platforms.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and version control tools like GitHub, Git, or SVN.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers, QA, and product managers to meet sprint goals.

• Ensure adherence to testing standards, best practices, and quality metrics across the SDLC.

• Provide regular updates on testing progress, blockers, and results to stakeholders.

• Work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC) and proactively drive testing activities.

✅ Required Skills & Experience

• 6–10 years of total experience in software testing, with at least 4+ years in test automation.

• Proficiency in Java programming, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Junit, and BDD frameworks (Cucumber).

• Strong experience with Data-Driven, Hybrid, and Page Object Model (POM) frameworks.

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in API automation using Rest Assured.

• Experience in database testing using JDBC with tools like MySQL and Oracle.

• Proficiency with GitHub, SVN, or Git for version control.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins and Azure Data Factory (ADF).

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
